mirror.co.ukA lucky punter has turned a fiver into nearly £18,000 on a night on shock results in the USA. The Ladbrokes customer placed just £2.50 each-way on three selections at Will Rogers Downs and saw them come in at odds of 33/1, 25/1 and 7/1.
Monday's card disappointed favourite backers but not the 60-year-old from Yorkshire, who finished the evening winning a huge sum.
He didn't have long to wait for the bet to come off either, as all three horses raced within an hour window. Totally Tiger (7/1) was first to strike on the sloppy surface over six furlongs and the punter was able to back the three-year-old at a much bigger price than he returned.
