It's hard to see past HONEYSUCKLE in the Grade 1 Paddy Power Champion Hurdle (5.25) at Punchestown. Henry de Bromhead’s mare, twice a winner of the Irish Champion Hurdle at Leopardstown, went off a well-backed 11-10 favourite for Cheltenham’s Champion Hurdle last month.
And Rachael Blackmore’s mount landed the money by an impressive six and a half lengths to stretch her unbeaten record to 11.
It will rank as a big shock if her colours are lowered for the first time. Willie Mullins saddles favourite Billaway for the Irish Daily Star Champion Hunters Chase (6.35), but preference is for English raider CAID DU BERLAIS.
