A man who broke into two pubs to target fruit machines inside has been jailed. Wayne Meredith, 46, was described as a 'prolific offender' by police who welcomed his 28 month-long prison sentence.
Police said he was caught, in part, by a distinctive green parker-style jacket he was wearing after extensive CCTV analysis was carried out.
Meredith, of Manchester Road in Northwich, Cheshire, appeared at a sentencing hearing at Chester Crown Court on Friday after earlier pleading guilty to two counts of burglary other than a dwelling with intent to steal.
