Denise Welch was every inch the proud mother as she shared a sweet throwback snap with her son Matty Healy on Saturday. It's been a massive few weeks for the 1975 frontman Matty, 34, who has fuelled heavy rumours of being in a new romance with American superstar Taylor Swift, with the duo recently being spotted "kissing" during a cosy date night in New York.

With the British musician at the centre of romance speculation now, 64 year old Loose Women star Denise, who shares Matt with her ex Tim Healy, decided to take things back with the adorable snap from years earlier.

In the image shared on Facebook, the mother and son both appeared to be in costume, with Denise looking sensational in a red and black fitted midi dress, sheer shawl atop her shoulders and a black fedora hat.

Little Matt stayed true to his reported future girlfriend Taylor's southern roots in a cowboy hat. The image after Matty, 34, and Love Story songstress Taylor, 33, were 'seen enjoying a cosy date night' on Thursday evening at swanky private members' club Casa Cipriani in NYC. "They sat next to each other at a banquette in the lounge," the onlooker told Page Six before adding that the pair didn't order any food and instead appeared to be "cuddling and kissing".
