ITV's Protection star Siobhan Finneran has opened up about a personal habit she finds "embarrassing".The 58 year old actress, known for her role in Happy Valley alongside Sarah Lancashire and James Norton, is back on our screens in the new ITV thriller Protection, playing DI Liz Nyles.
DI Liz Nyles is a dedicated officer in the witness protection department, safeguarding those who have testified against criminals and are now residing in safe houses.
But the plot thickens when a murder occurs at one of these safe houses, leading Liz to suspect an inside job. Describing her character, Siobhan shared: "She's a woman in her fifties with a 16-year-old daughter, and she's just become a full-time carer to her dad." She added that like many women, Liz is juggling personal and professional responsibilities, a struggle that will hopefully resonate with viewers.
While Siobhan is a familiar face on TV, fans may not know much about her off-screen life.The Benidorm actress recently offered a peek into her personal world during an interview, where she revealed she'd quit smoking.
