The Princess of Wales arrived at St Thomas's Hospital in Central London today (Tuesday, 5 December) to open the new Children’s Day Surgery Unit at Evelina London.
Kate, who has been Patron of the organisation since 2018, has previously made a number of public and private visits to meet staff members and their young patients and has praised the important work they do.
The Princess' visit comes after a tumultuous week for the Royal Family following the release of Omid Scobie's explosive book Endgame which saw Kate named as one of the senior royals in the 'racism row'.
While Buckingham Palace and members of the Royal Family are yet to speak out publicly on the book, it has been reported that they are examining all avenues open to them, including pursuing legal action.
