Princess Charlotte has paid a poignant tribute to the Queen with her first piece of jewellery worn to a royal event.The Prince and Princess of Wales were accompanied by their children, Prince George, 9, and Princess Charlotte, 7, who walked behind the Queen’s coffin at her State Funeral on Monday September 19.
And the young royal made a touching tribute to her great-grandmother as she sported a diamond horseshoe brooch to the emotional service at Westminster Abbey.
According to Lauren Kiehna, writer and editor of The Court Jeweller, Charlotte sported a small brooch in the shape of a horseshoe on her black coat as a moving tribute to Her Majesty, who was a great lover of the animal.
Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales also paid a poignant tribute to The Queen on Monday as she attended the funeral while wearing one of the late monarch’s own necklaces.
