Princess Charlene Is Back in Monaco with Her Husband Prince Albert & Their Children

Princess Charlene has returned to Monaco. People reports that the 44-year-old royal is back in the principality and reunited with her husband Prince Albert and their 7-year-old twins, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, earlier this week. Click inside to read more… The Palace confirmed the news in a statement on Saturday (March 12) and added that Charlene will continue her “convalescence in the Principality with her husband and her children by her side.” Charlene had previously been receiving care in a Swiss clinic, where she’d been since November.

She’d entered treatment voluntarily and was said to be suffering “exhaustion, both emotional and physical.” The Palace noted in their press release that her return to Monaco, which came after consultation with her physicians, is due to her “encouraging recovery.” They also added that Charlene will resume her official duties gradually and “as soon as her health is strong enough.

The communique restates the Princess looks forward to once again spending time and socializing with the Monegasques.” The statement concludes by adding that as the Princess “still needs peace and calm, The Princely Couple therefore asks that their private life and family environment continue to be respected.” Prior to her return to Monaco, Charlene had been in South Africa due to an ENT infection that required a number of surgeries.

Back in July 2021, she shared that complications from a surgery she had earlier in the year meant that her inner ear pressure would not equalize, making it impossible for her to fly above 20,000 feet.
