Princess Charlene Breaks Her Silence On 'Malicious' Divorce Rumors

Princess Charlene is setting the record straight. In a new interview with Monaco-Matin published earlier this week, the 44-year-old royal addressed rumors that she and her husband Prince Albert were planning on getting a divorce. Click inside to read more… “You want to talk about rumours of divorce or my new home in Switzerland?” she told the outlet, per Hello! “I still find it regrettable that certain media peddle such rumors about my life, my relationship.” She continued, “Like everyone else, we are human beings, and like all human beings we have emotions, and weaknesses, only our family is exposed to the media and the slightest weakness is relayed.” “[Albert and I] discussed these malicious articles together and he did everything to protect me and our children,” Charlene said of rumors they were going to split. “I’m very happy to be back home in Monaco and with my family,” she added. “I received so many positive and warm messages when I was away from Monaco, and I thank them for their support.” Charlene returned to Monaco in March after spending several months at a Swiss clinic.

She’d entered treatment voluntarily and was said to be suffering “exhaustion, both emotional and physical.” She made her first public appearance with her family back in April and you can see the photos here.
