Princess Anne has spoken about the terrifying moment she was shot at in her car as she drove into Buckingham Palace. Just four weeks after her royal wedding, the Queen's daughter was on her way home after a charity event with her new husband Captain Mark Phillips.
As they drove down The Mall a car blocked their way, and shortly after they reached it Ian Ball got out and pulled out a shot gun.
He shot the royal couple's chauffeur and security officer, as well as a press photographer who tried to intervene. Ball, who was trying to kidnap Anne and planned to ask for a £2million ransom, told the royal to get out the car - but she bravely replied "not bloody likely".
