Princess Charlotte is already getting into the swing of her royal duties.Kate Middleton and Prince William's only daughter made a surprise appearance at the 2022 Commonwealth Games on Tuesday alongside her royal parents, marking the first time she has joined them for a public engagement without either of her two brothers. Sporting a striped black-and-white dress with a Peter Pan collar, the youngster was hard to miss sitting with her parents in the stands of the Sandwell Aquatics Centre for the swimming competition. The princess seemingly enjoyed her day out as she was photographed smiling with her mom, reacting to the competition and giving her dad an enthusiastic thumbs up. Some very special guests are in attendance today. A warm welcome to Birmingham, @KensingtonRoyal!#B2022pic.twitter.com/MQSNB47B37In addition to the swimming, Charlotte also joined her parents for a visit to SportsAid House, for which the Duchess of Cambridge serves as patron. The pint-sized royal shook hands with SportsAid CEO Tim Lawler and sat in a meeting with athletes at the house.  While Charlotte and her siblings don't typically join their parents for daily public engagements, the older two did make appearances at Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee events in June and for the Service of Thanksgiving held in March in honor of their late great-grandfather, Prince Philip. Just days ago, she joined her dad in a video message shared on social media for England's women's national football team, the Lionesses.

Prince William is said to have given young Princess Charlotte some leeway in being "dominant" and "assertive," a royal expert has claimed. A video filmed in support of the Lionnesses ahead of their 2-1 victory over Germany in the Euro 2020 Final saw the Duke of Cambridge and seven-year-old daughter Charlotte centre stage.Their support of the team and subsequent message of good luck was, to one expert, a telling sign of Prince William's parenting tactics as the clip went viral.

The three were at Sandwell Aquatics Centre in Smethwick, the only brand-new venue for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. Charlotte seemed to be enjoying herself, making plenty of faces – though nothing to compete with Prince Louis at the Platinum Jubilee.

Prince George, nine, and Princess Charlotte, seven, have been students at Thomas's School in Battersea for the last couple of years. Their younger brother Prince Louis, four, has been a nursery student at Willcocks Nursery School in London. However, their move to Windsor means they will all be attending new schools.

In a viral TikTok, old photos of the two surfaced during their courting years, where Prince William and Kate Middleton are seen dancing the night away in clubs, crawling into taxi cars, and having fun.  The TikTok mash-up has already amassed more than half a million likes, and has thousands of comments.
