The Prince of Wales looked smart in a tuxedo as he arrived at the Science Museum in London this evening (Thursday, 14 March) to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Diana Legacy Award and present the prizes to 20 lucky winners.
Prince Harry will also appear at the event via video call from Montecito and will congratulate this year's inspirational winners.The Diana Award was created to keep Diana, Princess of Wales' belief alive that young people can make the world a better place.
Both Princes William and Harry gave out the first legacy awards at St James' Palace in 2017. Speaking at the awards this evening, Prince William told the crowd: "She (Diana) taught me that everyone has the potential to give something back; that everyone in need deserves a supporting hand in life.That legacy is something that both Catherine and I have sought to focus on through our work.” The Diana Legacy Awards takes places every two years and celebrates the achievements of 20 exceptional young leaders who are inspiring the next generation to follow in Diana, Princess of Wales’ footsteps and make a positive difference to the world.This year’s event marks the 25th Anniversary of The Diana Award.
After the ceremony, The Prince will meet all the award winners who have travelled from around the world, representing countries including Australia, Bangladesh, the Cayman Islands, India, Indonesia, Jamaica, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Romania, the UAE, the UK and the USA.
