Prince Harry would “want to be there to support” his family at the funeral of his uncle Robert Fellowes, though “it’s unlikely” that he will attend, a royal expert has claimed.
Earlier this month it was revealed that Lord Robert Fellowes, who was Princess Diana's brother-in-law, had died at the age of 82.
As the husband of Princess Diana’s sister Lady Jane, he was the uncle of Prince William and Harry. However, as Prince Harry’s team must give 28 days notice ahead of visiting the UK, it’s been reported that the 39 year old may not be able to attend the funeral later this week.
Speaking exclusively to OK!, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond claimed that the Duke Of Sussex is likely to want to attend the funeral of his Uncle, though his relationship with Prince William could lead to “awkwardness” if both brothers were to attend. “Well, we’ve already seen that Harry can return to the UK at extremely short notice, despite the 28 day requirement.
