Harry was educated at Wetherby School, Ludgrove School, and Eton College. He spent parts of his gap year in Australia and Lesotho. He then underwent officer training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He was commissioned as a cornet (second lieutenant) into the Blues and Royals, serving temporarily with his brother Prince William, and he completed his training as a troop leader. In 2007–08, he served for over ten weeks in Helmand, Afghanistan, but was pulled out after an Australian magazine revealed his presence there. He returned to Afghanistan for a 20-week deployment in 2012–13 with the Army Air Corps. He left the army in June 2015.

Prince Harry says 'mum would be incredibly proud' - after William leaves Diana Awards

Prince Harry declared that his 'mum would be incredibly proud' as he paid tribute to her via video link at the Diana Legacy Awards on Thursday evening.

Prince William also celebrated the winners of the award in her name during a speech but managed to narrowly avoid seeing his younger brother.

After the Prince of Wales left the event at the Science museum in London, The Duke of Sussex thanked the inspirational group of people after his brother William had already given a speech of his own.

Harry was met with applause and laughter as he appeared on the room's big screen before telling the group how his mum would be "incredibly proud" as he thanked them for "protecting his mother's legacy".
