Gayle King has revealed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would’ve postponed their Oprah interview if the Duke of Edinburgh passed away.

The CBS anchor—who is a close friend of Oprah and Meghan—explained that the Sussexes “would not” have allowed it to air when it did if “something had happened to him.” During an episode of her SiriusXM radio show, the broadcast journalist claimed that the Duchess of Sussex, 39, and the Duke of Sussex, 36, had a plan in place if Prince Philip died before their Sunday, March 7, tell-all with Oprah.

The Duke of Edinburgh, 99, was hospitalized for his second week in a row and receiving treatment for an infection and unspecified heart condition at the time.
