Charles, Prince of Wales (Charles Philip Arthur George; born 14 November 1948) is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II. He has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, and he is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history.
He is also the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held that title since 1958. Charles was born at Buckingham Palace as the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. He was educated at Cheam and Gordonstoun schools, which his father, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had attended as a child. Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.
A distraught Prince Harry has arrived back at Windsor, after making a dash to Scotland in a bid to say his goodbyes to his grandmother, the Queen.The Duke of Sussex, 37, could be seen holding his hand to his mouth, looking visibly emotional as he processed the loss of his 'Granny', with whom he shared an extremely close bond.
Harry will no doubt be greeted in Windsor by his wife Meghan Markle, 40, who stayed behind in London as Harry dashed to Scotland.
The King's son was amongst family members including brother Prince William who scrambled to the Queen's bedside in Balmoral yesterday after receiving a phone call that she had just "hours to live".
Harry, 37, arrived at Balmoral on Thursday evening at 7.52pm, having landed in Scotland at 7pm - hours after other members of the royal family touched down.
