It's been two years since Prince Harry's explosive book Spare hit the shelves on 10 January 2023, causing a global sensation and quickly becoming the fastest-selling book in history. The memoir was filled with shocking revelations, from disputes to heartbreaking confessions, unexpected love stories and even discussions of "brainwashing", it certainly rocked the Royal family.
Among the damaging allegations were claims that his brother William thought he was moving "too fast" with Meghan, King Charles had informed him there wasn't "enough money" to financially support her, and a heated argument between Kate and Meghan over a bridesmaid dress fitting.
So, what's changed since then? A source suggests that the prince may have some regrets about his tell-all book. "Although Harry is glad he finally got his say on everything that went on with Spare , there is part of him that has some regrets over it all and the way it was handled," they reveal. "He was still very angry about how he was treated by his family and wanted them to know and felt his book was the only way they'd listen. "But looking back, he's not sure it was handled in the right way and he has faced a lot of criticism for it and hurt his family a lot. " Despite the lingering resentment from Prince Harry, now 40, and his wife Meghan's decision to step back from Royal duties and start anew in California, it appears there's a shift in their focus this year – they're aiming to mend fences with the royals back in Britain. "Harry still wants to have a relationship with them and is hoping that in 2025, he can make that happen," a source reveals.
