He then underwent officer training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He was commissioned as a cornet (second lieutenant) into the Blues and Royals, serving temporarily with his brother Prince William, and he completed his training as a troop leader. In 2007–08, he served for over ten weeks in Helmand, Afghanistan, but was pulled out after an Australian magazine revealed his presence there. He returned to Afghanistan for a 20-week deployment in 2012–13 with the Army Air Corps. He left the army in June 2015.

Royal fans enjoyed a double treat last week as two of our favourite couples took to the public stage. While the Prince and Princess of Wales joined forces in Hereford for a lowkey engagement, it was the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s appearance in Dusseldorf, Germany that had everyone talking.The sixth annual Invictus Games, set up by Prince Harry to support wounded servicemen and women, marked the first time in weeks that the pair had attended an official event.

And their unabashed show of affection for one another finally quenched fiery rumours of their supposed marriage troubles. Hugging, holding hands and sharing cute glances at various events, including at a meeting with the Nato Joint Force Command, their natural chemistry was the hot topic on social media and body language expert Darren Stanton agrees it proves the couple are still just as in love with each other as when they first met. “Harry and Meghan seemed genuinely happy and comfortable being intimate with one another in front of the huge crowd.

We haven’t seen that from the pair in a while,” he exclusively tells OK! “When they held hands they did so with a solid grip, denoting that they’re very much in love.

Harry’s confidence was notable with Meghan by his side; he showed genuine enjoyment and he was leading, too, walking slightly ahead of Meghan, with broad shoulders.
