Her heartbreaking diagnosis came after she underwent abdominal surgery.The future Queen bravely shared her diagnosis in a video message shared online and on the news, following months of speculation surrounding the Princess' health and whereabouts.

Kate, 42, announced in January that she had undergone surgery on her abdomen and at the time said she was not being treated for cancer.

In a video addressing her surgery, Kate said: "At the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous.The surgery was successful.
