Prince Edward paid a moving tribute to his late father as he met Gold Award winners from Prince Philip's Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme.
The 59 year old Royal became patron of the personal challenge programme in March — around the time he inherited the Duke of Edinburgh title from Philip.
The award scheme was founded by Prince Philip in 1956 to help young people build their confidence and develop key life skills in order to reach their full potential.
Speaking as he met gold winners for the first time since becoming the charity’s patron, Edward described his new role as “a huge, huge honour”.
