A pregnant woman who forced a police officer to dive for safety after she drove a car at him has been fined £840.Shannan Partridge, 26, put the foot down and accelerated the Audi TT towards PC Steven Brown.

She had been stopped by an unmarked police car in Wishaw, Lanarkshire, when the incident unfolded. Brown was forced to jump out of the way after Partridge sped off from the scene.

Officers later found £21,000 worth of cocaine in the Audi and another vehicle after they traced Partridge to her home in Wishaw.

Partridge, who was eight months pregnant at the time of the incident, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court and admitted dangerous driving.
