A man falsely accused of stealing money from the Post Office took his own life by walking in front of a bus. Martin Griffiths parked up in his car on an A road in Ellesmere Port after leaving a note for his loved ones, and tragically walked in front of a bus, his family said.
The 59-year-old had suffered the mental turmoil of being wrongly accused of stealing money from the Post Office for four years, the Liverpool Echo reported.
He had worked for the Ellesmore Port branch for 20 years when he was accused of taking money after an accounting system wrongly displayed a shortfall of £61,000.
