A popular Lanarkshire Christmas initiative aimed at bringing good cheer to neighbourhoods is set to return for a third year.

The Rutherglen Wonderful Winter Windows idea started up in 2020 as the COVID-19 pandemic raged, and encouraged locals in the Royal Burgh to decorate their windows with festive designs.

The Facebook page proved popular with locals and returned last year, with a number of creative displays being whipped up, touching upon classic Christmas scenes, popular films and even politics.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
