The team behind a well-loved ice cream parlour and bistro in Greater Manchester have opened a new takeaway serving up mouth-watering deserts and stone baked pizzas.
Located in Oldham, Grandpa Greene’s has garnered a name for itself for its bistros in Saddleworth - including a canalside spot in Diggle - selling homemade ice cream as well as a selection of breakfasts, sandwiches, cakes and meals.
Based on some of the original recipes the aforementioned Grandpa Greene used in the 1920s, the café has won a number of awards for its ice cream - including a number of Great Taste awards for its flavours. Operating as a dark kitchen concept, Leo’s comes from Grandpa Greene’s chef Leo with a focus on ‘chef-crafted goodness’ - with a menu including burgers, pastas and a wealth of sides.
