Smash-hit singing series Pop Idol is allegedly set to make its long-anticipated return to our screens after a 20 year absence.
Broadcaster ITV are rumoured to be in 'early stage talks' about bringing back the show, which launched the impressive careers of the likes of Will Young and Gareth Gates.Though it may have only aired for a total of two seasons, the talent contest - first released in 2001 - saw some of the brightest stars of the early noughties being recognised on-screen for their incredible voices.
Now, it is thought that a comeback might finally be on the cards to commemorate it being over two decades since the show first ended.
