Pollok goal hero Stuart McCann has dedicated his wonderstrike that KO’d Annan in Monday’s Scottish Cup thriller to team mate Dylan Dykes who is battling cancer.
McCann’s 62nd minute screamer turned out to be the difference in a sensational seven-goal ding-dong at Newlandsfield as the West of Scotland League club dumped their SPFL rivals 4-3.
Pollok are now looking forward to a pay day away to Championship high fliers Ayr United in the third round. And McCann was eager to pay tribute to his team mate Dykes - who watched the cup cracker from the terraces days after revealing his cancer diagnosis to team mates.
The 26-year-old former Rangers youth player started treatment earlier this month and Lok players donned T-shirts emblazoned with ‘Get Well Soon Dylan’ during the warm-up to Monday’s live televised clash.
