The incident happened at the East Didsbury Metrolink stop at around 7.30pm on Friday, August 27. Police were called to the scene after the boy was stabbed in the chest by a group of four men.

Detectives have since discovered that the gang first approached a boy, 16, at Trafford Bar tram stop earlier that evening.
