Detectives have released CCTV footage of several men they want to speak to after a man was 'sprayed with a substance' during an 'unprovoked' attack.
The victim, a man in his 40s, was walking home when he was assaulted by a group of four men in Wigan Road in Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan, at about 12.45pm last Monday (June 13).
During the assault, which happened near to Bryn Railway Station, one of the culprits sprayed the victim with a substance – leaving him with serious facial and upper body injuries.
The victim was taken to hospital, where he received treatment before being discharged. Police have previously described the attackers as white, in their late teens or early twenties.
