Police spoke to Epsom College head Emma Pattison's husband days before he allegedly 'slaughtered his family'. Officials claim a firearm licensed to George Pattison, 39, was recovered from the scene, which reports are claiming was 'murder suicide'.The Mirror reports that the 39-year-old was found dead with his wife Emma and their daughter Lettie at their home in the grounds of Epsom College in Surrey on Sunday.
As part of investigation into the deaths, Surrey Police confirmed that they are now being treated as a murder investigation.The force said a firearm licensed to Mr Pattison was recovered from the scene, but cause of death would not be confirmed until post-mortems have been completed later this week.
Officials added the firing range at the school did not form part of the crime scene and was not a line of inquiry in the investigation.Police said it had been in contact with Mr Pattison last Thursday after he notified officers of a change in address.
The force has subsequently referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC). A police statement said: "We had contact with George on Thursday, February 2 after he notified us of a previous change of address, as is routine.
