Police seeking information after thieves break into West Lothian mosque

Get the latest top news stories sent straight to your inbox with our daily newsletterDetectives are appealing for information after a break-in at a mosque in West Lothian.The thieves broke into the building in Livingston and forced their way into a safe before making off with a sum of cash.Entry was forced to the building on Craigshill Road sometime between 10pm on Sunday, 5 September and 6am on Monday, 6 September.A safe inside the mosque was forced open and a sum of cash estimated to be worth a mid-three figure sum was stolen.Electrical equipment was also removed from the building.Detective Sergeant John Bowerbank of Livingston Police Station said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I would urge anyone who may have seen any.
