Police searching for Santa after he 'lost driver's licence' while working in Scotland

Every year, children in Scotland and across the world try to catch a glimpse of Santa as he comes to deliver their Christmas presents.But this year, Police Scotland have joined in the search for Saint Nick - after he 'lost' his driver's licence while working in Edinburgh last night.The big man's sleigh-flying ID was reportedly handed in to cops in the capital earlier this morning and they are desperately trying to return it to him.The force shared an appeal on Facebook this morning in a bid to reunite Kris Kringle with his documentation before he heads back home to the North Pole for a well-deserved rest.The licence states that Father Christmas is authorised to deliver toys and gifts, but only to boys and girls who are on the nice list.

It lists his address as Santa's Grotto on Reindeer Close in the North Pole, and he can keep delivering presents on his sleigh until at least 2050 - when he will need to renew his licence.It shows a picture with very distinct features.

In true Santa fashion, he's pictured with a long white beard and wearing his iconic hat.Did you see Santa in Scotland last night?
