Police release images of two people wanted in connection with 'appalling attack' on man walking to work

Police said the 37-year-old victim was lucky to be alive following the attack, which happened while he was on his way to work.

Emergency services were called to Ferndale, in Skelmersdale, near Wigan, at about 7.30am on Easter Sunday (April 4). Police believe the man was earlier attacked in nearby Firbeck after thugs asked him for money.
