Violence erupted in Glasgow city centre with videos on social media showing Rangers fans wearing Santa hats rampaging through the Argyle Street before clashing with rival Celtic ultras.
The disorder took place hours before the Premier Sports Cup Final at Hampden on Sunday, December 15. Multiple police units were scrambled to the scene as the large disturbance broke out.
A number of pyro devices were launched with other missiles reportedly lobbed at police officers. Police Scotland confirmed at the time that an officer was injured after being hit by a missile.
