Officers in the Highlands have pulled over a driver who was using their car with a shattered windscreen. Posting the image on social media, Police Scotland road traffic officers wrote that a 51-year-old driver had been caught in Nairn on Wednesday night, driving in the damaged car.
The driver told officers they were "still able to see", despite the majority of the windscreen being covered in cracks.In thepolice wrote: "#HighlandAndIslandsRP officers stopped this car in #Nairn last night.

Vehicle prohibited and driver reported to @COFPS despite still being ‘able to see’."They followed up the tweet with the hashtags #WhatsTheCrack #JustAChip.In a statement, Police Scotland spokesperson added: “Around 9.50pm on Wednesday, 8 June, road policing officers on routine patrol stopped a car on the A96 and Forrest Road, Nairn."The windscreen of the car was damaged and a 51-year-old man was charged in connection with road traffic offences."
