Officers are investigating after a woman was reportedly raped inside a property in a Greater Manchester suburb. Eyewitnesses reported seeing a police presence on a street in Whitefield throughout Thursday (April 28).
Police descended on the area after being called out following a report of a rape at around 10.15am yesterday, while an ambulance was also sent out to the incident.
Greater Manchester Police says its officers are providing the woman with specialist support following the alleged incident. The incident is being investigated by GMP and officers are continuing with their enquiries.
Anyone with any information about the alleged rape is being urged to come forward.
