A man who was arrested this week in connection with a major probe into the remains of a baby found in Wigan has been released under investigation, police have confirmed.
The 71-year-old man was arrested by officers on Friday (June 14). He was arrested on suspicion of preventing lawful burial after the baby's remain were uncovered in a garden of a home on Marsh Green on April 10.
In an update issued today (June 16), a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said he had since been released under investigation.
