Police have issued an update after a woman was hit by a car in a fatal crash in east Manchester. The smash happened on Alan Turing Way, at the junction with Ashton Old Road, just after 9pm on Monday night (October 25).
A blue Mercedes G63 - or 'G-Wagon' - collided with a pedestrian, police said. A 38-year-old woman was taken to hospital rom the scene but she sadly died a short time later. They said the driver of the Mercedes remained at the scene to assist officers. The investigation is ongoing. Police cordoned off a large section of Alan Turing Way after the crash
