The Metropolitan Police has confirmed it has launched an investigation into an alleged assault on Manchester United legend Roy Keane at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
Footage circulating on social media appears to show the aftermath of the incident in which former Manchester City player Micah Richards - who was on punditry duty alongside Keane for Sky Sports during United’s 3-1 loss to Arsenal - is seen restraining a man alongside an unhappy-looking Keane.
No arrests have yet been made but police enquiries are ongoing. Sky has confirmed both Richards and Keane have made statements to officers.
A statement from the Metropolitan Police said: “Police are investigating following an assault that is alleged to have occurred at the Emirates Stadium during an Arsenal vs Manchester United match on Sunday, 3 September.
