The man at the door forced her back into the house, in the Harpers Lane area of Chorley, and subjected her to a serious sexual assault at knifepoint, police said.
The suspect is described as a tall man wearing a black snood covering the bottom half of his face and a dark coloured beanie hat with a white tick on the front.Police are working to identify the man and no arrests have yet been made.
