Police are investigating after a man's body was found in south Manchester. A cordon is currently in place on Platt Lane in Fallowfield following the discovery at about 8.50am today (Monday).
Pictures from the scene show a stretch of the road taped off by officers as an investigation continues. A large number of police officers and forensics specialists were on the scene.
A section of the road was closed off between Lloyd Street South and Princess Road. Greater Manchester Police confirmed that the body of a man in his 60s was found at a property. The scene remained cordoned off this afternoon while police were focusing on one property on Platt Lane. Neighbours reported big emergency services presence on Platt Lane from early on Monday morning.
