Police continue to hunt gang who stormed West Lothian home and assaulted couple

Police are hunting a gang who stormed a property and made off with an electric motorbike. The four person strong gang attacked a man and woman within the house in question before fleeing the scene.Officers from Police Scotland are now appealing to the public for help tracking down the yobs responsible.

They say the assault and robbery took place in the Southpark Place area of Livingston.The drama unfolded at around 10.30pm on Friday, March 15, 2024, and saw the gang successfully steal a Sur-ron Lightbee electric motorcycle.A 42-year-old man and 48-year-old woman were assaulted before the gang fled the scene.

Officers say one of the men has ginger hair and is in his early 30s. The other three had their faces covered and were wearing dark clothing.A post on the Lothian and Scottish Borders Police Scotland Facebook page asked for anyone with information to get in touch with the force.Detective Sergeant Lynn Myles, from Livingston CID, said: “This appears to have been an opportunistic crime, but we are carrying out extensive enquiries to establish the full circumstances.“We are appealing for anyone with information on the incident, or if you believe you saw any suspicious activity in the Southpark Place area, to please come forward.“We are also asking residents with video doorbells, or passing motorists with dash cams, to contact us as they may have useful footage for our enquiries.
