A driver has been caught attempting to travel more than 500 miles from London to Aberdeen - to see his cousin. The man was caught by Cumbria Roads Police, near the Scottish border, as he attempted to make the near nine-hour drive from the capital to the north-east of Scotland.
Officers from the English force stopped the expensive Mercedes car and turned the male driver back towards London earlier today.
Cumbria cops who stopped the driver took to Twitter as they warned others who are tempted break rules to see family that they would not tolerate it.
