A wedding attended by 400 guests was broken up by police last night in a flagrant violation of lockdown rules. Officers visited a school in Stamford Hill, north London at around 9.15pm to find a bash taking place, the Metropolitan Police said.

The building's windows had been covered to stop people seeing inside and many guests fled as police arrived, the force said in a statement.

The wedding took place at the Yesoday Hatorah Senior Girls' School on Egerton Road - which is also listed as a coronavirus testing centre.

The school said it was "horrified" by news of the event and said it had "no knowledge" it was happening as its lettings are managed by an external company. Did you witness anything?
