Police are asking parents if they know what their children were doing last night, after reports of 'appalling' behaviour by a group of youths in Heywood town centre.
Groups of more than 30 young people were reported to have thrown stones at cars and caused 'issues' in local shops on Friday.
Police have now issued a dispersal order and say they will be visiting anyone they identify as being involved. The orders allow police to move on or separate groups of more than two people from areas where there is persistent anti social behaviour.
