A man has been arrested after a stabbing in Rossendale last week. Police say they were called to reports of a stabbing on Bacup Road in the Lancashire town of Rawtenstall last Monday morning (September 26).
A 35 year old male has since been arrested and had been released under investigation. The victim was taken to hospital, and is in a stable condition.
Patrols have since been stepped up in the area, but officers say there is 'nothing to suggest the public in general are at any risk'. In a statement, Rossendale Police said: "On Monday 26th there was an incident in Bacup Road, Rawtenstall where a male reported having been stabbed. "The male was taken to hospital where he is in a stable condition.
