Police are appealing for information after a serious crash in Stockport which saw two people cut from a van and a car. Four people were injured and two people currently remain in hospital after the collision yesterday afternoon (August 7).

Emergency services were scrambled to the smash on Bramhall Lane, Davenport, at around 4.45pm. The road was completely taped off by police following the collision between a black Ford van and a silver Renault car.

Both were heavily damaged. Pictures taken from the scene yesterday show a large police presence with a significant section of the road taped off with cars being turned around.

The front of both vehicles were seriously damaged with a large amount of debris at the scene.
