Police appeal after woman, 60, was sexually assaulted on Dunblane cycling route

The horrifying attack took place on Tuesday, June 14, at around 7.30pm as the woman cycled along Sheriffmuir Road.The woman was cycling near to the Sheriffmuir Inn when she was approached by a young man on a bike who touched her inappropriately before riding off.The suspect is described as white, aged between 16 and 18-years-old, with yellowish teeth and braces.

He was wearing a cycle helmet, sunglasses, a bright neon orange jacket and was riding a white road bike.Click here for more news and sport from the Stirling area.Constable Jenna Alexander, Stirling Police Station, said: “The area is a well-used cycle route and so I'm keen to hear from anyone who was in the area between 7pm and 8pm last Tuesday evening who may have seen the male cyclist in the area or who recognises the description of him."Anyone with information that may assist police enquiries is urged to .contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference number 1983 of Wednesday, June 15, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
