Police appeal after three yobs push 74-year-old man into River Mersey

The incident took place between 2.30pm and 3pm on April 25 (Sunday) when the 74-year-old man was sat on the bank of the River Mersey near Riverside Retail Park, Warrington.

Whilst he was sitting, two or three male youths are believed to have pushed him from behind causing him to fall into the water.

They all ran away from him laughing, Cheshire Police have said. Two unknown women who were walking by came to his aid and pulled the man out of the water.
