Police appeal after reports van pursued by car through several Wishaw streets

Get the stories that matter to you sent straight to your inbox with our daily newsletter.Police are appealing for information after receiving a report that a van was being pursued by a car.The incident is said to have occurred at 1.55pm on Monday, December 28, and involved a silver Ford Transit van and a white Audi A3 driving on various roads including the B7032 Caledonian Road, B754 Castlehill Road, A71 Main Street in Wishaw as well as A71 Horsley Brae, A71 Garrion Bridge and A71 Ayr Road.A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.Officers are appealing for anyone who may have seen either vehicle to get in touch.Detective Sergeant Grant.
