Plans to build two blocks of flats on a vacant plot of land in Johnstone have been submitted to Renfrewshire Council. Architects have unveiled proposals for 14 one-bedroom homes and a small retail unit in the town's Macdowall Street.The bid for planning permission has been presented by Wilson Architects on behalf of property company Aslam Developments.A design and access statement outlined how the development, if approved by the local authority, would take shape.It said: "The first block will front onto Macdowall Street and will incorporate a small retail unit on the ground floor and six one-bedroom flats above."The second block will be positioned to the rear and will incorporate eight one-bedroom flats.
Both blocks will be four storeys in height.
